There are a vast number of sources of information on technique including web sites, books and your team mates!
The main people to listen to, however, are the team coaches. They have years of experience and will coach you on improvements focussed on your current technique - something a book or web-site can never do.

Just one of those things that nobody seems to enjoy, or to be able to do without lots of prompting, but there are things that even you can work on in your own time, and in your own back-garden or bedroom: (why not challenge mum or dad to train with you!?)
One of the Flying Start manuals concentrates solely on land training so there is no excuse!
As with all things, don't overdo these exercises, and check that you are doing them properly so that you don't injure yourself. Start with a few repetitions and work up over a period of a few weeks. The club is trying to find a location and trainer to take land training 'starter' sessions so that everyone understands what to do and how to do it safely.
At some time or other you may sustain an injury that needs to be sorted - whether in the pool, or in some other sport (or just tripping over the cat!).
Contact the Sports Injury Clinic at Bell's Sports Centre (for a map, click here) - recommended by Dr. David Booth (PCSC treasurer & GP). Physiotherapist appointments available on Monday and Thursday 1745 - 1930. Appointments are booked by phoning the reception desk on 01738 622301. The Club pay an annual affiliation fee, which means that individuals get a cheaper annual membership, £4.00. Treatment seems to cost ca. £7.00 per visit - but don't quote me on this!!!
